Q. How long is an individual session?

A: Our initial intake will take 1-hour, and subsequent sessions will run for 55 minutes.
Q. Do you take insurance?

A: Not at this time, but I do work within a sliding scale framework.
Q. What is a “sliding scale” and how does it work?

A. Sliding scale refers to a negotiable fee for services provided. In general, I ask people to pay what they can based on income and intergenerational wealth/access to wealth.
Q. How much do you charge for 1-hour sessions?

A. I charge $125 per hour and ask you pay this amount in full session to session.
Q. What if I cannot afford $125 for 60 minutes, but I feel like we might be a good therapeutic fit?

A. If $125 per hour is not feasible for you, please don’t let that impact your reaching out. I welcome conversations about what would feel reasonable. If our working together feels like it will be a good fit, I will work to come to an agreement that both adheres to your ability to pay and honors my training, expertise and time.
Q. Do you work with couples?

A: I am experienced working with couples and families, and consider these requests on a case-by-case basis. In general, I am primarily practicing as an individual therapist at this time. However, if you feel like I might be a good fit for couples work, I am open to consulting about the presenting challenge(s) and determining whether I can support you and your partner. I may encourage folks to be engaged with an individual therapist, and/or have experience in individual therapy as a part of / pre-requisite for engaging in couples-work.
Q. If we are a couple, what can we expect to pay?

A: I charge $185 for couples work and ask you to pay this amount in full session to session.
Q: Does your sliding scale framework apply to couples work?

A: Yes, I am willing to negotiate a fee for all services provided. As above, I ask people to pay what they can based on income and intergenerational wealth/access to wealth.
Q: Who do you provide individual supervision for?

A: I am an independently licensed clinical social worker in the state of MA. I am able to provide supervision to folks who are seeking supervision hours toward obtaining their clinical licenses in the state of MA. This is for social workers who have their LCSW in MA seeking to apply for their LICSW. I am also very open to providing supervision to colleagues who are also independently licensed and seeking additional support in their work.

I have advanced training in the treatment of trauma, dissociation, Internal Family Systems (IFS) therapy, Harm Reduction Psychotherapy, and the clinical application of Polyvagal Theory. If you’re curious about deepening your understanding of any of these frameworks, I can provide supervision to support this in your practice. Of note: I did not move forward with obtaining certification from the IFS-Institute, so if you are looking to get certified by the institute, I will not be able to provide this at this time.
Q: How much do you charge for individual supervision?

A: I charge $100 for 1-hour of individual supervision.
Q: Does your sliding scale framework apply to individual supervision?

A: Yes, I am willing to negotiate a fee for all services provided. As above, I ask people to pay what they can based on income and intergenerational wealth/access to wealth.
Q: Do you facilitate group-supervision?

A: I am very open to considering requests to provide group supervision at an organization or to a cohort of folks seeking to engage in supervisory practices together. Please contact me if this is something you’re seeking.
Q. Do you offer consultation?

A. Yes. I offer a free, 30-minute phone consultation to help assess whether I will be a good therapeutic fit and whether our schedules align in a way that will support a consistent, reliable treatment process.
Q. Do you offer in-person therapy?

A. I am currently considering in-person sessions on a case by case basis as people gain access to the vaccination and rates of COVID-infections decrease. My primary modality remains online, via Zoom, but I am considering returning to in-person sessions beginning in January 2022, depending on the most current recommendations from the CDC at that time.
